Hartpury University RFC are one of the youngest clubs in the RFU ladder, having only been formed in 2004. Prior to that they played in the BUCS league system as Hartpury College Rugby Academy. Their ascent to the RFU second tier has been nothing short of remarkable, having started at Level 11; this included a 5 year run between 2004 and 2009 when they didn't lose a single game. In 2016-17 they uniquely won all 30 league fixtures to top National League 1, securing promotion to the Championship. At the time of writing, they sit in 6th place, a comfortable 11 points clear of their nearest rivals.
Notable former players include ex-Warriors Ryan Mills, Ed Shervington, Callum Black & Greg King. Their current squad also includes previous Sixways' residents Joe Rees & Jack Johnson as well as Joe Wrafter…
