Worcester Warriors Rugby Club

Worcester Rugby Football club was founded in 1871 but the Warriors moniker was only established in 1997, shortly after the game turned professional. Under the ownership of the late, great Cecil Duckworth CBE the club rapidly climbed the leagues, eventually entering the Premiership in the 2004/5 season. For the next 18 years the Warriors firmly established themselves as an elite level club with a hugely respected youth programme. Warriors split with their amateur wing in 2016 as Worcester RFC moved to new facilities on Offerton Lane. The amateur club remains a vital part of the community, offering rugby for all.
Perhaps a high-point for Warriors was winning the Premiership Cup in May 2022. Unfortunately this victory could not disguise the club's financial problems and it entered into administration in September 2022.

There followed over two years in the wilderness which proved to be extremely challenging for all involved. However, following the acquisition by Junction 6 Limited in May 2024 the progress has been huge, with clear plans to return elite level rugby, an Academy and a Women's team to Sixways. In October 2024 Warriors formally expressed their interest in joining the RFU's new Tier 2 league for the 2025/26 season, submitting their application a few weeks later. On 3rd April 2025 it was announced that Worcester Warriors had been granted a place in the RFU's revamped Tier 2 competition, Champ Rugby, and the advent of the new season is hotly anticipated.

Worcester Warriors Foundation

The Worcester Warriors Foundation was set up by Cecil Duckworth CBE in 2009 to create a legacy for Worcester and to give something back to the community. The Foundation works with the most isolated and vulnerable people in Worcestershire, including young people struggling with trauma, elderly people and their carers coping with the effects of dementia and those with complex individual needs. They use the power of sport to engage and inspire people, supporting over 20,000 people a year across numerous projects. The Foundation has their base at the Royal Porcelain works in Worcester city centre.

Commandery Coaches

Commandery Coaches is a local family business founded by Martin & Gillian Rowley in the 1980s. It is now run by brothers Ed and Will Rowley. For over four decades they have prioritised the care, comfort & safety of clients with customer priorities at the forefront. They have a large fleet of luxurious accessible coaches as well as smaller standard and midi options. WWST has been using Commandery as our coach provider since early 2024 and have built up a strong relationship that we hope benefits our members and boosts the local economy. We have been impressed with the company's reliability and flexibility in meeting our needs and are looking forward to growing our partnership.
