Coventry RFC v Bedford Blues RFC

Join WWST for a battle between two giants of  the  English Championship. Coventry, historically one of the "Big Beasts" of English Rugby Union, are currently sitting in 4th position in the league with Bedford just one place behind. Last year Cov reached their highest league position (3rd) since they were relegated from the inaugural National One in 1987/88. Old boys include the likes of David Duckham, Fran Cotton, Zinzan Brooke, Richard Cockerill, Danny Grewcock and Shaun Perry. 

Coventry have two ex-warriors on their books - Matt Kvesic &  Will Chudley. We very much hope that they will have some involvement on match day. Their coaching team is also littered with former Sixways employees including Alex Rae, Gordon Ross, Chris Hart & James Tyas; Managing Director, Nick Johnston, was Performance Director at Sixways from 2013 to 2017.

Bedford Blues, for their part, have had more recent forays into the game's Tier One competition, in 1989/90 and beween 1998 & 2000; since then they have been ever-presents in ND One/The Championship, finishing 2nd on 3 occasions, including as runners-up to Worcester Warriors in 2010/11.
